Sponsored by Stonewall, this year’s event will be taking place on Saturday 20 August at London’s Torrington Square and will be hosted by FIT actor and writer Rikki Beadle-Blair.
So what can be expected? This year’s party is out to impress. Headlining the main stage is double BRIT Award and three-time MOBO award-winning singer Ms Dynamite, X-factor 2009 contender Duane Lamonte, reggae duo Remi and Jules, dance acts Emotion and Luke Anwar.
As well as live performances will be the dance tent that promises to deliver a rainbow of music from a host of DJs including Miss Bailey, Jamel Laouini, Jigga-Jo, Philly and Chillz.
But fear not, there is more to pride than just music, dancing, drag acts and all things gay.
In the workshop tent there will be a number of guest speakers and workshops. Sexual health service and advice group, The Naz Project, will also be there on hand offering some of the best sexual health advice out there in one of the many workshops.
There is no chance of things ending quietly either. The UK Black Pride Official After Party, which will be hosted by Bootylicious at the Club Coliseum, is expected to raise the roof.
Having won our PinkPaper.com Readers’ Award 2011 for the Best Black Minority Ethnic Organisation, it promises to be a weekend full of colour…
