Every once in while you come across something so innovative and impressive, that it makes you see Second Life in a completely fresh perspective. You walk away then newly inspired and fulfilled in a different kind of way.
Theater on The Hill otherwise known as TotH, is a culmination of passionate performers and great visionaries. It was my great pleasure and honor to attend one of the rehearsals for the upcoming rendition of Les Miserables. About a year ago I was offered the opportunity to interview the founder of TotH and what I discovered was a great friend and pioneer for the performing arts. As can be expected with every production from TotH, Les Miserables is no exception to their excellence.
The beauty of the set pieces as well as the costumes are on a grand scale. The selective process that went into each and every aspect of the performance is evident through out the show. The world of Les Miserables magically comes to life with the shear size of the sets. Led by the great presentation and performance from the stellar cast, I began at one point to feel truly part of the show, as though I was looking out a window onto a quality sim. This time around, the special effects have been bolstered and the show is never short of ‘Ah’ moments.
For those familiar with the productions from TotH, this rendition of the timeless Les Miserables will surely astonish even the most diehard traditionalist. Newcomers to the theater will be rewarded with an experience that will captivate the senses.

De temps en temps on rencontre quelque chose si innovante et impressionnante qu’elle nous fait voir Second Life d’une perspective totalement fraiche, et depuis on s’en va inspiré et satisfait d’une façon très différente.
Theater on the Hill (le théâtre sur la colline), aussi connu comme TotH, est une troupe des interprètes passionnés et des visionnaires formidables. J’avais le grand plaisir et honneur d’assister à une répétition de leur prochain spectacle, Les Misérables. Il y a juste un an que j’étais offert l’opportunité d’interviewer le fondateur de TotH et ce que j’avais trouvé était un grand ami et un pionnier des arts du spectacle. Comme on peut attendre de toutes les mises en scène de TotH, Les Misérables n’est pas une exception à leur excellence.
La beauté des décors et des costumes est sans pareil, et la grandeur de tous les aspects de l’interprétation est évidente pendant tout le spectacle. Le monde de Les Misérables prend vie comme par magie grâce aux décors énormes. Enchanté par la mise en scène supérieure et l’interprétation des acteurs magnifiques, j’ai commencé à un moment avoir l’impression que je prenais part au spectacle, comme si je voyais par la fenêtre un paysage de grande qualité. A cette répétition, les effets spéciaux avaient été renforcés et le spectacle ne manquait jamais des moments d’admiration par les spectateurs.
Ceux qui connaissent bien les spectacles de TotH sont sûrs que cette mise en scène de Les Misérables va étonner même les plus radicaux traditionalistes. Les nouveaux venus vont gagner une expérience qui captivera leurs sens.
